Off the rails!

How shocking is that…a mere three-ish weeks after my “lifestyle change” (not diet) and I’m already coming off the rails.

I started this “change” when Brad and I were still living in his father’s house.  We bought what we needed, eliminated temptations from the house and we didn’t have to worry about anyone stealing our food.
Since moving back home, we now have to fight with six others to use the kitchen, the stove ran out of gas, my siblings sneak our food (they clearly missed the huge “DO NOT EAT” notes that is stuck to our food) and I’m over it.

I feel things would be so much easier in a less-chaotic household.

So at least I’ve caught it now, before it gets too late.  My solution?  I’m going back to basics again and plan on being more prepared.  There’s nothing worse than coming home from work to find there’s nothing healthy enough to eat in the pantry so you just eat whats available.

I came across this amazing idea and reckon if I could prepare them each weekend, then I’d be set for the week!

Ready to go Crock Pot meals.  (Could be done with any other kind of meal too)

But then I come across recipes like this one, and I get excited to cook more often again.  I haven’t been very adventurous over the last week – most dinners are either a carb-free mexican salad or nothing at all (slack, I know)

Best Lentil Salad ever (apparently).  I’m going to test this one out now…

So here’s hoping I can now keep on track.  I like to only post recipes that I’ve tried myself.  I’m planning on having a cooking day today, so as long as everything goes to plan – then you should be seeing a bunch of yummy healthy recipes on here!
