Fitness Update
This post is a little more personal, but the whole idea of this blog is to keep track of my life and where I’m at. I love to look back at old posts. This is around my fitness side of things, where I’m at and where I want to be.
Stats:
I had my Bootcamp fitness test on 25 November 2011 these are my stats:
I can run 3km in 13 minutes
I can do 42 full press ups without stopping (no knees on the ground)
I can do 130 sit ups non-stop. (they stopped us at 130 saying that was the max, I could have kept going).
I’m being tested again next week – which I’m nervous for because my knee’s been playing up and my hamstrings are too tight, which is making it difficult to run. I seriously need to find a good yoga class.
Exercise:
I do 1 hour Bootcamp sessions 3x per week at 6:30am in the morning. They are hard.
We do a lot of press-ups, squats, frogger kicks (my worst), ground crawling and we run. A lot. unfortunately I don’t use my Nike’s for Bootcamp, because my shoes always get so dirty there. So that means I can never track my miles – which is annoying.
I often run at night after Bootcamp depending on my energy levels, and I always try run between Bootcamp days too. I like running after work – it’s soo good to get outside after a day spent at the desk.
This past week (5 Dec – 8 Dec) I ran 17.2km. That is excluding any running I did at Bootcamp. I’d estimate I ran about 26kms including Bootcamp running.
As well as running, I added in a 1.5hour Gym workout on Thursday 7th. I worked on legs and abs and I struggled to walk afterwards. The next day (yesterday – Friday 8th) at Bootcamp was hell and my body felt like it was on fire coz they made us do hill sprints and stairs! There was a lot of swearing under my breath at how stupid I was to work my legs the night before, but I kept going and felt amazing afterwards.
Food:
My biggest issue at the moment is my eating.
My ideal is to eat as organically and as naturally/raw as possible – but this is expensive! The vege shop across the road also just closed down :(
Every morning I try to eat eggs and spinach on whole grain toast. I buy it from the cafe for $8.50 which is adding up (but soo convenient). I def need to cut back on that bread though.
Lunches are often Thai beef salads with asian noodles and nuts, olives and avocado. Or plain salads with no noodles.
Dinners are a nightmare. This is when I eat the worst food. Sometimes I skip it – sometimes i make a salad (if I have any left over) or I buy Japanese chicken salads from across the road. I need to get my shit sorted which dinner times.
Liquids:
I drink around 2L of water per day.
Drink 4 coffees per week.
3x V’s per week (we get them free at work)
4x smoothies from Tank per week
I need to drink more green tea.
Current Goals:
To run 30 Nike+ tracked kms in a week
Cook proper dinner meals
To be 33 pounds lighter
Run a half marathon in April
Well done if you read til the end!
